The majority of students we serve through the Queen City Classic Chess Programs come from more challenging circumstances than other children their age. Many qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program, struggle with their grades and confidence, and lack the means to participate in costly enrichment programs like chess. By supporting our chess programs, you are helping us to give them the tools they need for a successful future.
“I tell my students it doesn’t matter where you come from, what matters is how hard you’re willing to work to get where you want to be… You and your staff provided an opportunity for my students to prove to themselves that those words are true. This is a lesson I am certain they will carry with them for a lifetime.” – QCC Chess Tournament Head Coach.
The Pink Ribbon community is about leaning on each other and on CCPF for support. We focus on providing the best care possible at the Pink Ribbon Centers, removing barriers to breast health, providing comfort and hope for breast cancer patients, educating the community and celebrating survivors.
“[…] the day before I received a double mastectomy, a beautiful box arrived in my home. My daughter helped me open it and I was just overwhelmed with what I found inside. There are no words to express my appreciation, gratitude and love I felt. So I will not say anything. It can’t be penned. Thank you so very, very much. It lifted my spirits in ways I never knew anything could just hours before the surgery.” – Pink Ribbon Bag recipient.
